Sonnet of Motherhood

Look upon her steadily
As she dreams her sweet sweet dreams.
Tuck her into paradise
And softly kiss her cheek goodnight.
And as she settles down to sleep,
Remember her, young and sweet.
Look upon her glowing face,
And remember a time and place
When you looked upon your mothers face.
The speck of heaven in her eyes,
Remember how the years fly by.
One day she'll see an angel face
And remember a time and place
When she looked upon her mothers face.
And loved her without knowing why,
And saw the heaven in her eyes.
